This is a wonderful book. The introduction to acupressure and general approach to intimacy are eloquent and touching, and relatable enough to draw in even people who may be skeptical about things like acupressure or may have more classically Western or "American" attitudes towards intimacy. I do wish the instructions were more precise - my partner and I are often not sure how exactly to find the points, so it's probably best to use this book to know which points to use together and at what times, and to rely on something else to help you find them exactly (of course, formal training is probably required to do it *really* well). You can, however, find most of the points if you're patient and communicative enough - usually one or both partners know when the contact is really right.When we first got this book I had no experience with acupressure, and while I was open to trying it I was (and to a degree still am) skeptical of the existence of things like meridians. All I can say is that when my partner applied gentle firm pressure to a point for the first time (Sea of Tranquility, CV17) I experienced waves of laughter, deep crying, and kinds of opening/uncoiling/relaxing feelings that I've never experienced before. Many other points have had the same profundity, and working through this book has been a blessing so far. Many thanks to the author, highly recommended.
Very detailed book with terrific insight and education into what is the little known world (to most people) of acupressure. These techniques can be quite powerful. Reading this book also helps to open the lines of communication in a relationship. It does not matter if your relationship is new or everlasting, this book is for lovers of all types. Their are some decent illustrations to help better explain the worded details of the various techniques. Buy this book and it will not disappoint.
This book can bring heightend intimacy and increased sexual satisfaction to your relationship. At the very least the techniques are relaxing, and very loving, with some practice you may find some startling results, igniting new found interest in sharing and exploring your mate. I've owned five copies, each one borrowed...never to return. I now give it as a wedding, or 1st anniversary gift. Have your lover page through it and mark interesting pages with yellow stickies. Do your homework, and enjoy each other. You'll probably find yourself spending more time in bed together, and watching less TV.
