This is a must-have for all high school students thinking about college-- not just four-year colleges, but community colleges too. The guide has almost 1400 pages. It includes detailed descriptions of common college majors. Some comments have noted that it is not alphabetical. It is organized by department. For example, Engineering includes mechanical, chemical, computer, etc. Social Sciences include psychology, sociology, etc. The detailed descriptions of the majors offer alternative choices that are closely related. If you have an idea that you want to major in criminology, you'll learn about that and also will learn you can explore criminal justice, police science, forensics, or others. It includes an alphabetical listing of every major, with a one sentence description. Then, you can easily look for schools that offer the major you are thinking about. Could be a bit more organized, but I absolutely love this book! I saw it in stores for $28 so this is a steal! The book did come with some creases, bent pages, and such, which is a downer because I like my books to come in perfect conditions, but I can work around it. You HAVE to get this book!!
